You can have a trouble free menstruation by following basic Ayurveda guidelines. During the days of flow, try to balance Vata irrespective of your body type through Vata balancing food and life style. Boil water with ginger, cumin, fennel or coriander and consume it warm through out the day. Take Thriphala (an ayurvedic herb) a week before your period starts. Avoid excess coffee, alcoholic drinks and hot spices during the days of flow. Take sufficient rest.

Introduction to Ayurveda

This course is aimed for beginners and for persons who have read a book on Ayurveda and are interested to know the principles of Ayurveda and incorporate them in their lives. The focus of this course is the 5 elemental theory and three life forces (Vata, Pitta and Kapha). This course will provide you with information for discovering your unique physical, mental and emotional constitution using Ayurvedic principles and how you can apply these principles to live a fully balanced life. Once you are familiar with this, you can bring balance to the body, mind and spirit. It’s a 2 hour course.


Ayurveda and Woman

From an Ayurvedic point of view, you will understand the three landmark changes in woman or the three important M’s – Menstruation, Motherhood and Menopause. You will also learn the general guidelines for healthy menstruation, healthy pregnancy and common remedial measures for PMS.


Ayurveda and Obesity

Ayurveda defines overweight as kapha imbalance. Based on the wisdom of Ayurveda, you will learn the cause of obesity, its mind-body connection and preventive measures like lifestyle, diet, herbs and Therapeutic Yoga.


Ayurveda and Rejuvenation

Rejuvenation is one of the eight branches of Ayurveda. Its main goal is to augment the quality and length of life. You will learn the various therapeutic methods, herbs, lifestyle and moral conducts which has rejuvenating effect both on the body and the mind


Ayurveda and stress management

Stress is the root cause of physical, mental and emotional pain. Through our stress management workshop you will learn about stress relieving herbs, lifestyle, yoga and every participants will also get a chance to experience different ayurvedic massage forms designed to beat stress.


Cooking Workshops

Set the stage for a healthier life style with conscious cooking. Learn to prepare a delicious, balanced multiple-course vegetarian meal according to the principles of Ayurveda. 6-10 guests are welcome to attend. This is a hand on cooking workshop. Morning session includes the theory on Ayurvedic nutrition, each individual verifying their ayurvedic constitution followed by cooking and then enjoying the meal. Afternoon session will include learning some ayurvedic home remedies for common ailments. All participants will receive handouts of the recipes.
